Just Me

The inspiration for the song came as I was sitting outside on a beautiful July evening on the Isle of Arran, sipping a glass of wine and watching a spectacular sunset over the hills of the Kintyre peninsula. I found myself thinking of the past, things I had done, things I wish I hadn’t done, and the words just sort of wrote themselves. Was it the wine? Was it the sunset? Or was it “Just Me”?

Perfect Answer

This song's title and lyrics were hatched when I mulled over the latest opinions on the Brexit situation and questioned if there ever was a perfect answer to some situations.

The verse and chorus lyrics came to me as usual during the twilight hours just as the dawn chorus concert begins. I would rise up and jot down words for song lines. The music followed the words in this song.

As 3JM we record our music in various styles and celebrate the process with a view to publishing and passing to producers. I hope you enjoy this one.

Who we are, what we do

Jeannette Hiddelston explains, "Our aim is to encourage artistes - who don't write or record their own songs - to own one of our songs and transform it into their own hit or album record."

Jim McKinnon says, "Our style ranges from blues, to country, to ballads, to pop rock and to dance music. The Guild of International Songwriters and Composers (GISC) have commended many of our songs as 'excellent' and 'commercial'. Some of the GISC's comments include: 'strong and tuneful' ... 'distinctive and original' ... 'very well constructed lyrics with some great imaginative phrases'.
